Overview
The redevelopment of the Adur Civic Centre delivered 30,000 sq ft of modern, flexible office space, retaining Focus Group—a key Sussex employer—and safeguarding 250 local jobs. This project aligned with Adur District Council’s vision to support economic growth and deliver a high-quality, future-proofed community asset.
Our role
We ensured the project’s financial and programme success through proactive cost management and stakeholder collaboration. We aligned the project with the council’s budget by negotiating contract terms and providing precise cost planning.
Early engagement with key stakeholders, including Focus Group and funding bodies, balanced tenant requirements with long-term flexibility. Our programme oversight helped secure £1.8M in external funding and kept the project on schedule, ensuring timely delivery of this critical community asset.

"Sean and Lloyd’s expertise and collaborative approach were key to the successful delivery of the Adur Civic Centre car park redevelopment. Sean’s leadership as Project Manager ensured the programme remained on track, while Lloyd’s diligence in cost management enabled us to agree a contract sum that met our budget without compromising on quality. Their proactive communication and attention to detail gave us confidence throughout the process, resulting in a high-quality office space that supports local business growth and job retention."
